Jan 2022 Issue of NUS Research In Brief
For this issue, I created two cover illustrations about the protection of personal information contained in machine learning’s training data.

I illustrated an initial design (red) where the AI robot was holding its mouth while dark figures tried to eavesdrop in the background.  However, this version could be interpreted negatively in terms of AI's safety, so we created the blue version where the robot is holding two responses to query 'my health outlook.’  One response reveals personal information that was used as training data (low security) while the other doesn't (high security).

An original cover illustration that was rejected due to the negative connotation that it appears to carry.
