I live in Singapore. Everywhere within the city there are a lot of trees.
One morning, I was walking along the back of shop-houses. I saw a blue bird dive down from the tree and get back to its perch. It was a collared kingfisher that caught a cockroach from a rubbish collection point. The kingfisher was proudly raising its beaks high, wagging the tail happily.

I had the mental image of kingfishers that hunted fish in the cleanest of rivers and ponds. But I guess they'd eat anything they can get given the environment.
